Help Wanted: Mr. Roger Fowler who is researching some of the early industrial development in 19th Cetury in the south of Gelligaer Parish asks: "Does anyone know of any photo images of the Gelligaer collieries (not Penallta Colliery), but any of Tophill and Powell's pit, Llancaiach Colliery, Tom's Level, New Church Colliery in the Gelligaer district. Also the collieries and tramway from New Church Colliery, through Penpedairheol, to Rhos Colliery, and Pwll-yr-Allt colliery - histories and text information would also be welcome". [10/09/2009] |
