BARGOED & GILFACH A Local History

Members and friends of Gelligaer Historical Society embarked on the Bargoed-Gilfach Project in November 2008 with the intention of producing a book to mark the Society’s Golden Jubilee in the 2011-2012 session. The results of months of research using a wide variety of sources will appear in a book, Bargoed and Gilfach a local history,which tells the fascinating and unique story of the communities of Bargoed and Gilfach from earliest times to the present day.

The book is 336 pages, has a hard cover and is 240mm by 165mm, the size of the larger paperbacks.

The book is now on sale at £10

It is available locally at the Winding House,  Bargoed Library,  Occasions Card Shop in Bargoed, Deri Library, Fleur-de-Lys Post Office,

Newscene (Rowlands) Blackwood, Siop y Bont Pontypridd Market, and Siop y Ganolfan Merthyr.
